Valentines Day

Well, I wish I had some very romantic plans for Valentines day to tell y'all about but, I don't! In fact my Valentines Day plans are pretty much in the pits! Well, not really all the way in the pit, just on the edge! We are supposed to go to a playgroup, but I think we are going to cancel b/c Addie has a little cough and runny nose and there will be little babies at this playgroup also and everyone hates it when some crazy mom brings her sick toddler around their healthy baby(I was one of "these" moms that hated sick little toddlers around my babe). Anyhoo, so I think Addie and I will start the day with cinnamon rolls(a huge treat around here...it is normally Kashi Go Lean Oatmeal and blueberries) and Addie's Valentine surprises from mom and dad(which are a Dora card, a huge red and pink sucker the size of a plate(not kidding), a heart shaped box of Dora candy, a little box of conversation hearts, and some of her favorite pink gum. After breakfast I think we will decorate the heart shaped cookies I made tonight and eat them. Next, we will get dressed and deliver Addie's little Valentines that she put together for Drew's Grandmother who is in the nursing home. Then we are meeting my in-laws at Red Lobster at 4pm(Why, you ask...to beat the crowd of course)!!!!!! I am not making this last part up! And if I am completely honest....I am kinda excited! How sad! You see, Valentines Day always lands during a trade show that Drew goes to every year for work...so we have to spend it apart. This part makes me really sad...so, I am excited that at least I get to go out to eat with somebody instead of sitting at home with Addie while we both cry that our daddy is not home and stuff our faces with iced sugar cookies! So for any of you that felt bad about your Valentines Day...DON'T....at least you aren't eating a romantic dinner with your in-laws at four in the afternoon! ;)
