Birthday Week Extravaganza!

Addie's Dee Dee and Gumpy came to visit this past week to celebrate her birthday and let me tell you we did celebrate!! We did it all. Addie basically opened presents for three days and loved every minute of that of course! We went to the pumpkin patch which was really more fun than we even thought it would be. They had pony rides, pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, pumpking carving, scarecrow making, music, food, mazes, a tee-pee trading post(full of little toys kids could buy with tickets), a big jumping thing(what do they call those?), and a hay ride! It was really so much fun! We came home and carved the pumpkin and toasted pumpkin seeds. We also went to Chuckie Cheese for the first time and it was like Heaven for Addie! We told them we were celebrating her birthday...so we got a crown, a special cup, a piece of cake, and singing, dancing, and pictures with Chuckie himself! She was totally into the whole thing! They had the birthday kids on stage and asked each one their name and how old they were...well most of the kids wouldn't say anything of course so I was nervous about what Addie would do and I am proud to say she really hammed it up. She said into the microphone her full name and that she was two...and the good thing is we got it all on tape! I was so proud I could cry! She of course loved Chuckie and danced in front of the whole crowd too! It was so fun! We also had the regular birthday party at the house again complete with another homemade Dora cake! We had a great time! Addie will think from now on that you are supposed to celebrate your birthday for an entire month complete with two homemade cakes and parties, two birthday dinners with singing and dessert, and more presents than any kid should be allowed to get!! I know she had fun and really that makes it all worth while!! I guess they only turn two once!!
